Job Summary

At American Iron & Metal Co, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our recycling program, with a specific emphasis on solder dross materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the growth and success of the recycling program.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of solder dross materials in the electronics industry.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and effective communication channels.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of solder dross materials to our facilities.
  • Monitor market values, trends, and industry developments to anticipate changes in supply, demand, and pricing of solder dross materials.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including customer service, production, EHS, transport, and finance.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the handling and disposal of solder dross materials.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in sales, business development, purchasing, or commercial roles, preferably in the electronics, metal trading, or recycling industry.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control and logistics.
