We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Fulfillment Specialist to join our team at Steelcase. As an Order Fulfillment Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products to provide timely and accurate assistance to sales representatives and customers.
  • Set up new customer accounts, ensuring all relevant information is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order entry, including specifier and pricing information.
  • Convert quotes and reserves to sales orders.
  • Access order management folders as assigned.
  • Attach purchase orders to sales orders in Epicor and retain source documents.
  • Process order changes and updates in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitor open order reports daily and confirm dates for performance to customer expectation and Designtex promise date.
  • Communicate acknowledgement date changes to sales support.
  • Send proforma invoices and payment options to customers as requested.
  • Arrange for fabric cuttings when requested by customers.
  • Engage in continuous personal improvement to pursue training and knowledge on Designtex products and processes.
  • Provide feedback on process improvement to the team manager and/or process lead.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of order entry-related experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP software.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in the use of basic technology programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in minimally supervised situations and handle non-standard events.
  • Ability to develop and recommend new and/or modified operating policies that enhance the customer experience.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and interpret order requests to ensure accuracy of order entry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of Designtex's order processes from order entry to final customer invoicing.
  • Ability to handle multi-problem situations within a limited timeframe.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately with no direct supervision.
  • Ability to effectively organize workload to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to recognize problems and act on them.
  • Ability to work with and understand multiple computer systems and support systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems through cross-functional integration.
