Job Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving successful lead conversions from new marketing qualified leads to sales opportunities. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills to maximise the sales value of each opportunity through discovery and client engagement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive successful lead conversions from new marketing qualified leads to sales opportunities;
  • Maximise the sales value of each opportunity through excellent discovery and client engagement;
  • Proactively build an additional pipeline of sales opportunities through outbound calls and prospecting activity;
  • Manage workload and forward planning to ensure sales targets are met through the right mix of outbound calls, lead conversions, pipeline management, quotes sent and contracts won;

About You:

We are looking for a results-driven individual with a proven track record of selling products and/or services in a comparable role in a B2B or B2C environment. You should have experience in managing quotations, bids and proposals, including working to set pricing models to achieve required margin. Additionally, you should possess good oral and written communication skills, be an active listener and able to work under your own initiative to prioritise and deliver work on time.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable track record of selling products and/or services in a comparable role in a B2B or B2C environment;
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and pipeline development to ensure adequate coverage;
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently;
  • Demonstrable experience in managing quotations, bids and proposals, including working to set pricing models to achieve required margin;
  • Good oral and written communication skills, active listener and able to work under your own initiative to prioritise and deliver work on time;

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £250k - £1.2m depending on location, market, product and service capability and language. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including access to refresher training and development activities agreed with your manager.
