What impact will you have in this position?

International Card Services (ICS) consolidates our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing operations, along with our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams outside the United States, under one umbrella to accelerate our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual in this role will be tasked with cultivating, enhancing, and solidifying relationships with Level C decision-makers and managing a portfolio of over 100 multi-industry clients in the mid-market sector, aiming to optimize spend penetration by industry and product while generating new volume.

They will also be responsible for formulating a robust commercial card growth strategy, aligning with support teams, driving deeper client engagement, and advocating for the client’s perspective in critical business decisions.

This successful candidate will be accountable for expanding the commercial card business by increasing billings while maximizing the contribution margin on existing accounts, adhering to our company’s high service standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a commercial role, ideally in business/account development
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Commercial Card Business.
  • Financial and Business Acumen
  • Ability to develop and strengthen relationships at all levels within the client organization.
  • Structured approach to relationship management
  • Capability to foster and enhance business relationships at C-levels.
  • Self-driven with strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Proficiency in collaborating and influencing both internally and externally.
  • Ability to quickly grasp the complexities and nuances of American Express products/processes and resolve any issues.
  • Skill in building and motivating a relationship management team.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in pipeline management.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (both written and verbal communication)
