Human Resource Manager - Mexico

Job Summary:

Reporting into Corporate Human Resources, you will provide advisory support to management and employees on all Human Resource related matters. This role will be based in Mexico and will oversee all local Human Resource responsibilities and activities.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, update, and apply all HR policies and company guidelines for Mexico
  • Lead employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including HRIS entry, systems/laptop procurement, initiating internal system access, Payroll set up, exit interviews, and benefit enrollment and termination.
  • Partnering with our Payroll vendor to ensure accuracy of payments made for salary and variable compensation.
  • Maintain office services for the Mexico headquarters by organizing office operations and procedures including controlling internal communications, managing corporate events, and recording employee bill-backs and cross charging.
  • Responsible HR administrative processes related to benefits, HRIS, Leaves of Absence, Vacation Pay, and Sick Leave.
  • Works closely with Corporate HR, the Country Manager, and management to improve engagement, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Support the Americas Internship Program by working closely with the Talent and Engagement Specialist as well as local hiring managers to fill approved opportunities.
  • Manages local recruiting strategies in support of Altair's customer needs; provides recommendations to Country Manager and Hiring Manager for recruiting and retention of talent.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of local, legal requirements related to daily employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory & audit compliance. Works closely with local legal advisors on complex employee issues.
  • Proactively collaborates with VP Human Resources in rolling out key HR processes – including active involvement with recruitment, compensation planning (merit / annual increases), performance management, turnover analysis/retention statistics, etc.

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience within Human Resources or related Human Resource Service function.
  • Background in HR competencies: recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field.
  • Experience working in a Global and Technology company and culture is preferred.
