Role Overview:
S&P Global is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Leader to build a book of business and expand existing relationships in Mexico, Central America, and The Caribbean. This role will involve managing all commercial aspects of S&P's relationships with issuers in the countries of coverage.

About the Position:
This position requires an established sales professional with a proven track record of success in the finance industry, specifically in Capital Markets. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with DCM teams or financial institutions, as well as knowledge of Sustainable Finance/Environmental, Social & Governance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create a sales strategy to broaden S&P's portfolio across Mexico, Central America, and The Caribbean;
  • Identify upsell opportunities through insight-based sales strategies for complex clients;
  • Leverage communication and negotiation skills to gain user acceptance and optimize revenue;
  • Deliver insights on both existing product functionality/use cases as well as explore new product opportunities;
  • Track customer & industry developments/trends to identify opportunities and respond accordingly;
  • Thoughtfully position S&P sustainability solutions;
  • Coordinate with Sustainable Finance colleagues to uncover opportunities within the portfolio on the countries of coverage;
  • Provide high-touch client service to the intermediary (primarily banking) community, ensuring S&P is well positioned on its transactional flow;
  • Utilize and maintain updated Salesforce data to monitor pipeline and opportunity status for revenue management, as well as contacts;
  • Understand customer problems and identify ways to help clients address them;
  • Develop & maintain relationships with both new and existing Project Sponsors – communicate S&P's value proposition and market positioning;
  • Provide the pulse of the market to senior management;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an optimized customer experience;
  • Partner with Marketing to curate and manage the team's marketing collateral;
  • Prepare data & key insights for monthly reporting.

Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 based on national averages for a sales leader in Mexico City, MX. Additionally, S&P Global offers a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred);
  • 8+ years of sales experience in the finance industry with a focus on capital markets and rating products;
  • Requires advanced proficiency in English communication skills (reading, speaking, and writing);
  • Microsoft Office (advanced skills)
